How to Add Flowers to Your Summer Look

Have a Flowery Summer!

Are you in love with flowers? Me, too! You don’t have to just enjoy the in your flowerbed or in the wild. You can spend your summer days with them. Can you think of how? Well, here are some cute ways to add flowers to your summer wardrobe.

Corsages and Boutonnieres

This summer add flowers to that outfit by adding a corsage. Of course, you won’t want to try to wear this to the beach or to the park. But, corsages are great for dressy looks. If you are a guy, you can add the boutonniere to incorporate flowers into your classy look. You can choose between using real flowers or artificial ones.

Hair Accessories

I love to wear flowers in my hair. Summer provides just the excuse to do it. Whether your look is dressy or casual adding flowers into your hair is sure to give you a fresh, clean finish. This can be a single flower placed behind the ear or tiny flowers arranged throughout the hair. I love honeysuckles, so I love sticking some into my hair. Wearing flowers in your hair can make you look softer and more feminine. However, don’t get it wrong. They won’t make you look to sweet or girly. They can also transform a look into something just a little edgy and sexy.

Flower Print

Okay, you can’t wear live flowers all the time. You can, however, wear flowers when they are printed on the fabric. There are countless varieties of flower printed clothes. You can wear flowery tops, shorts, pants, or dresses. I especially love those cute, little flowery flared or pleated skirts. Either way you can’t go wrong with flowery fabric in the summer. Just be sure to get a print that goes with your body type and choose a color that compliments your skin tone. Oh, don't forget. You can even wear shoes that feature flowers.

Jewelry

A great piece of jewelry can transform any outfit. Flowers can also be used as jewelry. Real flowers can be used to construct necklaces or bracelets. You can use artificial flowers if you are afraid that you will have a reaction to wearing your favorite flower so close to your skin. Remember, you can also purchase necklaces and bracelets with flowery designs instead of doing the work yourself.

Toes and Nails

You can have flowers painted onto your toes and nails. This can be done at any nail shoe or at home using nail art.
This summer don’t just admire the flowers in your yard or garden. Add them to your summer look.

Plus-Sized Calender

Thank You for the Plus-Sized Calendar

Who said only skinny Minnies are beautiful? Women of all sizes are beautiful, and swimsuit company, Swimsuits for All, decided to prove it. They designed their own calendar featuring plus-sized models. The models included Robyn Lawley, Jada Sezer, and Shareefa J.   These models did a cover that mimicked Sports Illustrated’s recent swimsuit edition, and I love it. They proved their point. Most women are not a size 2. The average sized woman is 5’4 and wears a size 14. So, the models that grace most magazine covers don’t look like real-live women. I hope other magazines take notice and begin using some of those plus-sized models.

Going Gold This Summer

Summer is now upon us and we are bursts of vivid color. Although the weather is warmer, don’t forget about those great metallics. One metallic in particular is wonderful for summer. That metallic is gold. Are you wondering how to sport the color this season?

Mix those colors

Mix gold with other great summer colors. The following are some great colors to wear with gold: Placid blue, Dazzling blue, Violet, Hemlock, Cream, Sand, Yellow, Rose, Hot Pink, or Feesia

Accessorize, Accessorize

Gold jewelry is one great way to get your gold in for the summer. Gold bracelets, necklaces, rings, and trendy earrings can successfully accentuate your summer outfit. You can also opt to rock a gold purse or gold shoes. You can also add a gold belt to your summer look. And, let’s not forget that gold nail polish.

Make-up

Make-up plays a key part of any outfit. Sharpen your gold look by mixing it in your make-up. Add some gold eye shadow to your look and mesmerize all those you met this summer.

You can also wear silver. Here are some suggestions on how to do this:
